His love of music came from various styles such as hip-hop, R&B/soul, House, Disco, Salsa, Reggaeton, Jazz, & Pop music. Drey was inspired by artists such as Jay Z, Kanye West, Nas, Drake, & 2 Chainz to name a few. As a youngster he was interested in music, acting, and clothing, with an entrepreneur teenage mindset, he created skits and a gaming channel on YouTube, and by the age of 13, he began rapping.
Around the age of 15, Drey took rapping more seriously, when he realized that music was a great tool of expression, a way to create vibes and bring them to life, he saw the importance of speaking his mind through music.
